A Mug of Faith

Brief snippets for you: from a Christian finding her feet in a new workplace!

I've just moved to a new office, within the same company. Although the systems and the work are very similar, the people are all new.

For Christmas my sister-in-law gave me a nice big pink mug with the word ‘Faith’ in big letters and the text underneath reads, ‘for I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength, Philippians 4 v13’. I use this mug at work, mainly as it's a good size and reminds me to trust God even when things get tough.

 

However moving to the new office has shown me a new reason to use it. It's a great way to tell others what I believe. Last week someone offered to make me a brew and I handed over my mug without even thinking. On his return he passed me my mug of tea with the words: " Do you believe it?" I said, "Yes, it's true!” "Great to have met a sister in Christ" was his response! 

 

I definitely felt a warm feeling of relief in my heart - relief that I'd found a fellow believer and an automatic friend!  He knows of other Christians working from this office and we’re going to try and start praying together.  Can't wait!
