Inspiring Christians to Transform the Workplace and the Nation...
Dear {recipient.first_name}, A new decadeA new decade has begun; the Noughties have been replaced by the Teenies! Still, setting aside the jargon, what has been the 'Word' of the last 10 years for the Christian in the workplace? Have we spoken up? I believe the answer is: “Yes!” Workplace Christians have been ‘good news’ and we hear excellent reports almost every week of people making a difference. From a wider perspective it’s also clear that Christian groups who meaningfully engage with their employers and work colleagues represent a genuine conduit between the church and the world. Although I hear many prophetic commentators, they speak mainly to the church; we talk to each other as if the ‘word’ we have is to be kept private. Please join me and pray that we continue to hear what God is saying for this next decade and that we make His 'Good News', His message, the Word, more public, especially within our workplaces.

Quiet Rooms
"Places of work should set aside 'quiet rooms' that can be used by atheists as well as religious worshippers who want to pray, according to a leading employers’ group. But managers should also tell staff if they think it is inappropriate for the room to be used for meetings or “afternoon naps”, a new guide claims. The Employers Forum on Belief says it is important that the room can be used by workers of all religions and none." More on this story here .

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. John 1:1-5 NIV

"Thanks so much for your prayers; as usual God exceeded our expectations with the Carol Service. We had people standing at the back and on the balconies and stairs overlooking the foyer. We'd printed 75 carol sheets and these all went and a number of people were sharing. The Minister from our church led the service and did a fab job, keeping within the guidelines set out by the authorities but still managing to get out the essence of the joy of Christmas. Since then we've had a request from one group of people to have Easter and Harvest services and another guy has contacted me about becoming part of the group." RickWe would love to hear from you!
