Inspiring Christians to Transform the Workplace and the Nation...
Dear {recipient.first_name}, Lifeboats
In our local church the preacher showed a brief excerpt from the film Titanic . It was the scene of a lifeboat searching with its lights among the wreckage; the officer was standing up and shouting “Is there anyone there?” Sadly, in the reality of this disaster, only 6 people were rescued from the sea. Nevertheless it was clear to me that Christian workplace groups are like lifeboats! Those that are known within an organisation or are formally recognised are like a lifeboat with the lights on so that colleagues can find them and be saved. It’s difficult to imagine a workplace group that does not have among its top 3 aims something similar to Acts 1:8. Keep up the good work!

Review & Reflection In recent weeks Transform Work UK has carried out a review and now seeks the Lord’s direction about our future. TWUK is run by a board and small staff team. With almost everyone being voluntary we keep our costs to the absolute minimum. To sustain our active engagement with Christians in the workplace we need to fund a minimum of £50,000 annually. Most of this has been provided by a single donor … more … Confident Christianity
Have you ever been at your desk, in the staff room or out on a job, when in the course of conversation a colleague asks why the innocent suffer? Perhaps one of the most paralysing fears that stop us from sharing our faith is the idea that our friends will be full of impossible questions that we can't even begin to answer. Well, Confident Christianity, devised to help you answer the most commonly asked questions, may be a course for you! Developed by Christian Medical Fellowship, this course is applicable to all workplace Christians. Interested? For background information click here or email alexbunn@btinternet.com quoting Transform Work UK.
Does your church give you practical help to live out your faith at work? It will take you just a few nanoseconds to click and cast your vote . These polls help us be more aware of issues facing workplace Christians. In the last poll, "Do you take a lunchtime break?" it seems that 2/3rds of us always take a lunch break - very encouraging.
“But the Holy Spirit will come upon you and give you power. Then you will tell everyone about me in Jerusalem, in all Judea, in Samaria, and everywhere in the world." Acts 1:8 CEV
