Inspiring Christians to Transform
the Workplace and the Nation...

8 June 2010

Dear {recipient.first_name},
Ambassadors

"As I understand things, the workplace is primarily both a mission field and a spiritual training ground - God is interested in working in us, the Bible tells us that He who started a good work in us will finish it.  Often many of the challenges that we face at work are unique circumstances that the Lord can use in helping to shape us and prepare us for what lies ahead. The Holy Spirit is at work in us, developing godly character and helping to conform us to the likeness of Jesus.

Besides being at work in us, I love the way God works with us. He enlists us as co-workers with him in his great plan of redemption. We are appointed as ambassadors for Jesus, mainly in our workplace, in our work time we are called to have dominion over our God given territory - that His Kingdom may break out. It is a territory where we blend in well and are well placed to be salt and light - sharing the same pressures as our colleagues but refusing to conform to the pattern of their world."

Energising Christian Impact @ Work

Church at workWe are about to launch a new workshop to assist local church leadership ‘equipping’ members for ministry within their places of work.  Many Christians, by recovering a deeper sense of mission and discovering effective and practical ways to function in the workplace, will better fulfil their service in the local church.  To see the draft workshop sheet click here.  Details of the workshop and support available from Transform Work UK will be sent to thousands of local church leaders.  To recommend a local church leader please send mailing details by clicking here.

The Breakfast of Champions
Andy Elms"Great Big Life" devotional writer Andy Elmes is about to launch a daily special for the workplace Christian.  Served up fresh every morning, we confidently believe that this will be both relevant, encouraging and will plug a real gap regarding the needs of Christians at work.  We are preparing a mailing list so why not give it a try?  It's totally free - to order your 'Breakfast ... " click here.

How do you answer this?
stop sign smallTwo stereotypical objections to Christian groups seeking to be more formally recognised in the workplace are: 'you're not a persecuted group, therefore there is no need for recognition', and secondly, 'if we recognise you then we'll have to do the same for all the faith groups'.  How should these objections be countered?  Please post your comments by clicking here.

SPEAK!

"Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, “Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; 10 for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.”

Acts 18: 9-10 NKJV
