Readings for Lent
While working in the Lichfield Diocese I had the privilege of taking school assemblies in a primary school, which was over 90% muslim background. During the season of Ramadan, I was impressed with the way the children and their families, not only knew that it was Ramadan, but was actively entering into the marking of it.
I would like to encourage as many Christians as possible to enter into this very special season of lent, to use the time while at work, focusing each week on particular areas that will be able to help each of us to grow deeper in our faith.
Each reading is fairly short and we may choose to read it at the start of each week or indeed read parts of it as we go along. I would like to invite you to take with you a Companion on the journey. During the weeks of lent that we are sitting, you can contact any of the following individuals below who will be more than happy to speak or meet with you. You may invite the companions to pray with you or for you as you seek to take up new challenges week by week.
