Spirituality in YOUR workplace

growth2An increased diversity of employees religious and social background has led to challenging discussions about how that diversity is lived out in the workplace. With the recognition that catering for employees and clients' needs actually increases effectiveness and team spirit, some organisations are embracing 'Spirituality' agendas.

Definitions of spirituality however remain vague and therefore it as an area that is still undergoing enormous changes.

What this means and how this is worked out in practice varies hugely from one organisation to another. In the Healthcare sector, for example, there is a clear emphasis on catering for the religious and spiritual care needs within a healthcare setting which translates into the provision of chaplaincy, 'spiritual care advisors', quiet rooms, etc... At a time of international debate over religious conflict and tolerance, and increased diversity withinworkforces this can be a key area for employers: either as a divisive influence or a profound cultural enabler.

In this section we will be publishing various articles around this topic, collecting your comments and looking at how we should react to this trend and how it can help us transform our workplaces for good and for God.
